Dr. Michael Lowe moved to Victoria from Kentville, Nova Scotia in 2014. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University after completing his undergraduate at Michigan State University.

Completed an intensive, hands-on soft tissue surgical graft course with Implant Seminars focusing on free gingival grafts and subepithelial connective grafts aimed at treating recession, gummy smiles, and other gum defects
East Coast Endodontic Study Club, mentored by Dr. Robert Roda, the first Canadian to be named president of the American Association of Endodontics
Member of the International Association for Orthodontics, having completed training in Invisalign, the two year International Straight Wire & Orthopedic Seminars (ISWOS) program, and the one year Rondeau seminars program.
Completed a comprehensive study of implant dentistry at the gIDE Implant Institute in Los Angeles receiving diplomas from both Loma Linda University and gIDE Implant Institute in the one year Master Clinician program. At the institute, he learned the latest techniques in guided bone and soft regeneration under the tutelage of Dr. Sascha Jovanovic.
Currently studying at Seattle’s Kois Center for Aesthetic, Occlusion, and Restorative Dentistry. The curriculum is built upon Dr. John C. Kois´ mission statement: “Enabling motivated dentists to achieve extraordinary levels, expanding both knowledge and application skills in restorative dentistry.
Dr. Lowe is a CEREC Doctor Mentor and trains fellow dentists on single visit crown and restorative CAD/CAM technology.
A recipient of the prestigious Canadian Dental Association President’s award, as well as the American College of Dentist’s Award, Dr. Lowe is an active member of the Victoria and District Dental Society, the Canadian Dental Association, the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C. and the British Columbia Dental Association and maintains his license to practice in the United States and Canada.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lowe loves spending time with his family and friends. He golfs every chance he gets and is active in hockey and soccer leagues and enjoys skiing.
Dr. Lowe is also the principal at Smiles By Design at Oak Bay Avenue and Fort Street practising there three days per week.
After obtaining her Dental degree from Universite de Montreal, Dr Teo Russu worked for 24 years in the Canadian Forces, serving in Canada as Dental Detachment Commander, and in Afghanistan as a mentor. She retired from the Canadian Forces in 2016 and is now dedicated to serving her community here in Victoria.

She graduated at the top of her class in a 2 year intense Post Graduate Program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency, in North Carolina. There, she received extensive and valuable training in each discipline with particular emphasis on Periodontics (including implants, gum grafts, bone grafts, pocket reduction surgical techniques, frenectomy), Oral Surgery (simple and complex extractions including wisdom teeth, atraumatic extractions with socket preservation techniques, biopsy), Prosthodontics (including implant crowns, bridges and veneers, implant supported partial and complete overdentures), Cosmetic Dentistry (with emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, Minimally Invasive Dentistry and the Medical Model of treating Cavities including their preventions by targeting the cause, etc), Temporomandibular disorders (in depth knowledge of how one’s musculature and bite, grinding/clenching, various lifestyle habits can lead to jaw pain, headaches, tooth wear, and their successful treatment) and Sleep Apnea (all patients are screened for OSA).
She was a regular guest lecturer at the Canadian Forces Health Service Training Centre teaching young dental officers how to successfully treat patients with complex treatment plans.
She was an examiner on the American Board of General Dentistry and a member of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and British Columbia Dental Association.
She was presented with the Clinical Coin of Recognition, by the Surgeon General, B-Gen MacKay (2016).
She keeps up with the latest in dental advancements and technology and maintains a strong focus on prevention and reversing oral disease. In her spare time she enjoys climbing, cycling, lifting weights with her teen daughter and camping all over BC. "My goal is to provide people in the community with honest and high quality dentistry and live a balanced and happy life in what is, without a doubt, the most beautiful city in Canada".
Dr. Kelly Delorme completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of British Columbia, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Bioethics at Michigan State University. Following graduation, Dr. Delorme spent some time back in her hometown of Edmonton, but, ultimately, she couldn’t resist the draw of the West Coast lifestyle!
Dr. Delorme has a passion for dentistry and takes pride in staying up to date on current research and technology. Her goal is to provide compassionate and comfortable care to patients in order to help improve oral health and overall well-being, all while helping patients achieve a confident smile. Dr. Delorme is dedicated to helping you reach your lifelong dental goals, no matter how big or how small.
In her spare time you can find Dr. Delorme spending time with family and friends. She enjoys exploring Vancouver Island and all the wonderful activities the island has to offer!
